Boxing fans who are still hoping for a second showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather could get what they are asking for, depending on the Filipino boxing icon's performance in his next fight.

According to veteran trainer Robert Garcia, the two boxing superstar could face each other one more time in a blockbuster rematch if Pacquiao wins by knockout against Timothy Bradley on Saturday.

"If Pacquiao looks impressive and knocks Timothy Bradley out, then he could probably get Mayweather out of retirement and make a couple of hundred million," Garcia told BoxingScene.

Mayweather announced his retirement after improving his record to 49-0 following a unanimous decision win against Andre Berto in September last year. The former pound-for-pound king has been insisting that he is not planning to return anytime soon, but most analysts are convinced he will still chase his 50th win.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, has also stated he is planning to call it quits regardless of the result of his rematch with Bradley on Saturday. But during a Q&A session on Facebook late last year, Pacquiao expressed desire to face Mayweather again, saying that the two camps had talks about the proposed second fight.

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer, also said in a recent interview with BoxingScene that he is still hoping his prized fighter will get another crack at Mayweather, who ran away with a unanimous decision win the first bout in May.

"I certainly hope so," Roach said of the possibility of Mayweather-Pacquiao 2. "I would love for Manny to fight him one more time, 100 percent healthy, which he definitely is right now. I would love to see that, yes."

Pacquiao reportedly fought with an injured shoulder during their record-setting showdown, which latter required surgery. The Filipino boxing superstar's fight against Bradley on Saturday will be his first since the disappointing loss to his biggest rival more than 10 months ago.
