As the dust settles over WrestleMania 32, the WWE taped its first edition of SmackDown following the "Show of Shows" on Tuesday from Houston.

After making his triumphant comeback on "RAW" this week, Cesaro returned to "SmackDown" to team up with No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship AJ Styles in the main event.

The babyface team overcame Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho when Sami Zayn distracted KO, allowing Styles to roll him up for the win. Zayn was held back by officials.

Owens then laid Zayn out, prompting the Dudley Boyz to come out and do the same to Styles. Roman Reigns entered, making the save for the babyfaces and shook hands with Styles to end the show.

"SmackDown" opened up with the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who cut a promo about being "THE guy." Styles then interrupted and they jabbed back and forth on the mic.

In the Intercontinental Championship rematch from "RAW," The Miz retained his title after Maryse distracted Zack Ryder, allowing her husband to land the Skull Crushing Finale for the victory.

The Vaudevillians also made their main roster debuts, defeating The Lucha Dragons with U.S. Champion Kalisto absorbing the pin.

In other action, Apollo Crews defeated Curtis Axel, Dean Ambrose toppled Tyler Breeze and Natalya beat Summer Rae via the Sharpshooter. Charlotte and Ric Flair were on the commentary for the women's division bout, and the reigning Women's Champion stared down Natalya, but no contact was made.
