After three games kicked off the 2016 MLB season on Sunday, several teams ushered in Opening Day on Monday in what was a memorable day throughout the league.

From dazzling debuts to dominant outings to new faces making an immediate impact for their teams, there was no shortage of storylines coming out of Monday's action.

Here are the best moments from Monday's schedule of Opening Day games:

6) Dodger Drubbing

The Dodgers kicked off their season by spoiling Opening Day at Petco Park for their NL West rival Padres. Los Angeles decimated San Diego, 15-0, setting a record for the most lopsided Opening Day matchup in league history, according to STATS. Clayton Kershaw tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk, while striking out nine. Dave Roberts won in his managerial debut for the Dodgers, a club that didn't' hit any homers in the game.

5) Defensive Pillar

It didn't take long to find our first Catch of the Year candidate. In the seventh inning of the Blue Jays' 5-3 victory over the AL East rival Rays, Steve Pearce made contact for what looked to be a sure extra-base hit, until Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar ran it down and made a sprawling catch to rob him. Pillar crashed head-first into the outfield wall, but fortunately remained in the game.

4) Capital Gains

The reigning NL MVP got off to a hot start as Bryce Harper went deep in his first at-bat of the 2016 season for the Nationals, a solo shot on an 0-2 offering from Braves starter Julio Teheran. In his first game in a Nationals uniform after defecting from the Mets, Daniel Murphy hit a homer off Teheran and then drove in what proved to be the game-winning run with a double in the top of the 10th inning as Washington went on to win, 4-3.

3) One Hit Wonders

In one of the most bizarre games of the day, the Rangers defeated the Mariners, 3-2, while only compiling one hit in the game. Mariners ace Felix Hernandez absorbed his first Opening Day loss after coming into the game with a 6-0 record and a 1.49 ERA on Opening Day in his career. Prince Fielder's RBI single was the only hit of the game for Texas, while Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager both went yard for Seattle.

2) Giant Impact

The Giants handed the Brewers a 12-3 loss on Opening Day, which featured some magic in the eighth inning. Making his team debut, Denard Span kicked things off with a three-run homer, signaling the first of back-to-back-to-back long balls for San Francisco as Joe Panik and Buster Posey each went deep. It was not a good day for Brewers pitcher Ariel Pena, who allowed all three shots.

1) Storybook Debut

Rockies shortstop Trevor Story helped Colorado fans forget about trading away Troy Tulowitzki last season by making history in his MLB debut. Story homered twice off of new Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke, a three-run blast in the third inning and a solo shot in the fourth frame. Not only did he take Greinke deep twice, but the game wasn't even played at homer-friendly Coors Field. The Rockies went on to win 10-5.
