After an unbelievable NXT Takeover: Dallas displayed the future of the WWE, it's now time to remember wrestling's past with the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony as part of WrestleMania 32 weekend.

On the eve of the biggest show of the year, Sting headlines the 2016 Hall of Fame class for te WWE.

"The Vigilante' was the face of WCW and helped the company surge in the Monday Night Wars until it closed its doors in 2001. He then carved a career in TNA, becoming the first man to enter Dixie Carter's promotion's Hall of Fame.

Sting made his WWE debut in November 2014 in one of the most spectacular and surreal appearances, interrupting the main event at the Survivor Series.

Though his WWE tenure was short, it featured his first WrestleMania appearance, a loss against Triple H last year, and his first crack at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, a defeat at the hands of Seth Rollins at Night of Champions in September.

Though he lost both of his high-profile bouts, Sting hopes to continue his career once he recovers from his neck injury. Even if he doesn't, Sting will always go down as one of the all-time greats. Long time on-screen rival and personal friend Ric Flair will be doing the induction.

Joining the former WCW and TNA World Heavyweight Champion in the Hall of Fame on Saturday are The Fabulous Freebirds (inducted by The New Day), The Godfather (APA), The Big Boss Man (Slick), Jacqueline (Dudley Boyz) and Stan Hansen (Vader).

Award-winning journalist and best-selilng author Joan London, a breast cancer survivor, will be the recipient of the second annual Warrior Award via Dana Warrior, while Snoop Dogg will be inducted into the celebrity wing by his cousin, WWE Diva Sasha Banks.
