Ottawa enters this game in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with 10 points, six shy of the division-leading Tampa Bay Lightning while Chicago enters play in second place in the Central Division, three points behind the first place Colorado Avalanche.

Chicago snapped a two-game losing skid Monday with a 5-1 victory on the road against the Minnesota Wild. Chicago's newly formed second line of Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad and Brandon Pirri paved the way on Monday by combining for six points.

"We've had a couple of shifts together this year, a couple looks, but to play a full game, that's the first time," Saad told NHL.com "Communication was huge. We got each other the puck and played well:"

Coming off of a 5-2 home loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday, Ottawa is looking for a good start after dropping three of its last four.

"We want to get off to a good start," center Kyle Turris said after the San Jose game, according to NHL.com. "We talk about it in the room, and we just come out a bit flat and give them a couple of opportunities and it ends up in the back of our net."

The Senators have been led by Jason Spezza who leads the team in goals with seven and points with 11 while adding four assists. Erik Karlsson follows next with 10 points off of three tallies and seven helpers while Bobby Ryan (six goals, three assists) and Turris (one goal, team-high eight assists) each have nine points.

The Blackhawks have been paced by Kane, who has a team high in goals (7) and points (11) with four assists. Captain Jonathan Toews is tied for the team high in assists with five while adding four goals for nine points, while Saad also has five helpers along with three tallies for eight points.

Between the pipes, Chicago has turned to Corey Crawford, who is 6-2-2 with a 2.24 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage through 10 starts. Craig Anderson has started most games in the crease for Ottawa, posting a 4-3-2 record along with a 2.81 GAA and a .920 save percentage.

The Senators look to avoid dropping their fourth game out of five and third in a row while the Blackhawks look to win two-straight games when the puck drops at the United Center in Chicago tonight.
