The Divas Revolution may have officially sparked a transformation for women's wrestling.
Charlotte will put her Divas Championship on the line against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match this Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The title, however, may not hold that name for very long.
The WWE has a new belt in the works for the division, which will be re-branded back into the Women's division, rather than the emphasis on Divas, according to PWInsider.
A lot of the WWE's ladies have recently expressed their displeasure with the "Divas" moniker, especially with NXT putting on better matches and angles under the women's division banner.
The new title is reportedly set to make its debut on the "Monday Night RAW" after WrestleMania, which is always one of the hottest shows of the year. The belt design is also reportedly similar to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, only smaller.
Charlotte, Lynch and Banks have the chance to finally put women's wrestling on the map for the main roster under the bright lights of WrestleMania. All three ladies are some of the most gifted athletes on the roster, and hopefully the WWE will give them a chance to tell a great story in the middle of the ring at the marquee event.
As for a winner, Banks appears the most poised to help the WWE revolutionize women's wrestling and usher in the change by winning the gold on Sunday.
"The Boss" had tremendous matches in NXT, most notably her two clashes with Bayley -- which includes the first ever Iron Woman Match -- but she's yet to truly breakout on the main stage. Banks has the personality, in-ring ability and look to be the face of the division for years to come.
It's time for the WWE to give the former NXT Women's Champion the platform to thrive on the main roster, and that could very well begin Sunday night in Dallas. All three of these women are capable of carrying the division into this transition, but the "We Want Sasha" chants are growing louder with each passing week, so the WWE should give the fans what they want.
Banks is the absolute perfect choice to usher in a new era of women's wrestling and help people forget the years of watching Divas with no direction in the ring.
