A crazed Twitter user has threatened the wife of Clippers point guard Chris Paul on the social media site.

The deranged user contacted CP3 on Twitter and threatened to kill his wife, Jada, and frame him for it.

"@CP3 if I knew where you lived I'd probably kill your wife and frame you for it," the user wrote, according to TMZ. "I watch dateline I get away with it."

The LAPD is investigating the tweet, which was sent to Paul on Mar. 14, but thus far no arrests have been made. Clippers security saw the tweet and then alerted the authorities about it, leading to the investigation, TMZ reports.

Paul has had run-ins with social media trolls in the past, including an Instagram user who never physically threatened him and his family, but posted "annoying comments" on family photos he posted, according to official documents obtained by TMZ.

The point guard also noted that one user insulted his wife by calling her "Jay Leno chin" in one of the pictures.

Paul, 30, met Jada when he was in college and the two tied the knot in Septemeber 2011. The couple has two children together, Christopher, 6, and Camryn, 3.

On the court, the Clippers have won two straight games to improve to 45-27, and are currently holding down the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

Paul has averaged 19.9 points, 9.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game thus far this season.

Luckily, the off-court issues haven't impacted him on the court, but it's just the latest example of people going too far on social media.
