KOMania was inspired by one of the worst editions of WrestleMania in history.

Kevin Owens will make his WrestleMania debut on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The Canadian will defend his Intercontinental Championship against six other men in a Ladder Match at WrestleMania 32.

The former NXT Champion revealed that watching WrestleMania XI is what led to his desire to enter the ring.

"I watched a tape when I was eleven years old of WrestleMania XI and that's what made me decide that I was going to be a wrestler and that I wanted to be a WWE Superstar," Owens told ChadDukesWrestling.com. "So to be apart of it this year and to have my first WrestleMania be the biggest one of all time, It's obviously pretty special I'm really psyched, and I'm just gonna do everything I can to make sure that my part on the show stands out and that people are talking about me when the night's over."

Aside from inspiring Owens' career and displaying a fantastic match between Shawn Michaels and Diesel for the WWE Championship, WrestleMania XI leaves a lot to be desired.

When Sports World News ranked the previous 30 editions last year, WrestleMania XI placed 28th, ahead of only WrestleManias II (1986) and IX (1993). The show featured NFL star Lawrence Taylor in the main event against midcarder Bam Bam Bigelow and took place during one of the worst years in WWE history.

The decision to have the legendary Giants linebacker in the main event received mixed reviews as it generated buzz, but also made the other wrestlers look bad. LT, however, did hold his own in the squared circle.

Despite it beig a polarizing event, it led to Owens eventually embarking on a wrestling career that will lead him to AT&T Stadium on April 3. There, he will face Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Stardust, Zack Ryder and Sin Cara in a Ladder Match for his title.

"Once I'm standing over them proudly with the Intercontinental Title raised proudly above my head, I show everybody what KOMania's all about," Owens said. "I feel like all those guys will realize what a mistake they made."
