Tim Tebow was spotted in a Philadelphia airport, fueling rumors the free agent quarterback may now be on the injury depleted Eagles' radar and may have been in town to meet with coach Chip Kelly and other team officials, according to RantSports.com.
Over the last two weeks the Eagles have lost starter Michael Vick and his backup, Nick Foles to injury, leaving the team headed into Sunday's game against Oakland with untested rookie Matt Barkley as the only healthy quarterback on the roster.
Vick tried to give it a go in the team's 15-7 loss to the Giants but was forced back to the sidelines early in the second quarter after hearing something "pop" in his already troubled hamstring. Foles has yet to be cleared to return from the concussion he suffered two weeks ago.
Tebow has been linked to everyone from St. Louis to Cleveland to Jacksonville in recent weeks, all teams that have either seen starters at the position suffer season-ending injuries or been hampered by poor play.
Tebow, 26, was cut in training camp by the New England Patriots and has yet to catch elsewhere. Despite it all, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Florida remains unfazed, recently telling reporters he has no plans on giving up on his NFL quarterbacking dreams by either switching positions or going to play abroad.
