Klay Thompson has been linked to many beautiful ladies throughout his NBA career, but he's yet to settle down.

If and when the Warriors guard does commit to a relationship, his father, Mychal Thompson, hopes it won't be with a Kardashian.

When asked about his sons dating life, Mychal, who has two rings after winning the NBA Finals with the Lakers in 1987 and '88, said he gives his son advice "all the time," but would balk at him dating a member of the celebrity family now that Kourtney Kardashian is single.

"No," Mychal told TMZ when asked about Klay getting with Kourtney Kardashian. "Klay is smart enough to choose the right one, I trust his judgment."

Didn't sound like a ringing endorsement for the Klay-Kourtney courtship from the Thompson family patriarch.

The Kardashian Klan has been known to date a who's who of athletes throughout the years.

Khloe is married to Lamar Odom, though a divorce appears imminent, and she recently broke up with Rockets guard James Harden. Kim has dated a handful of athletes and even married Hawks forward Kris Humphries in a joke of a wedding that lasted 72 days.

Kourtney isn't linked to any athletes, but has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Scott Disick, though she is currently on the market. That doesn't mean Mychal wants to see his son get caught up in the Kardashian family drama, which mostly does more harm than good for male athletes.

Though a Kardashian romance may be out of the question, Mychal knows what he wants for his son and even helps him out when he can.

"I just want him to meet someone like his mother and I'll be happy," Mychal said. "[I give him dating advice] all the time. I just tell him to find himself a good girl."

While things remain unsettled in his personal life, Klay is thriving professionally with the defending champion Warriors. Golden State notched its NBA-record 51st straight home win on Wednesday with a 114-98 defeat of the Clippers.

Klay, who had gone through a bit of a struggle in the previous two games, notched 32 points in the victory as Golden State upped its league-best record to 64-7.

With a season like this, Klay should continue to take his father's advice and not let a Kardashian hold him down.
