The WrestleMania 32 buildup has thus far been lacking the special feeling this season normally brings to the WWE, but that doesn't mean the company can't fix things.
As it stands now, the card for the "Show of Shows" is a little disjointed. The WWE has announced just six matches thus far for the biggest event of the year on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
Much like the card, the buildup for the event has lacked its usual buzz, due to a mixture of odd storylines and the rash of injuries the WWE is currently plagued with.
Using the current card as it stands now, here's how the WWE can fix things.
1) Tables Time
It was revealed that the Dudley Boyz will face The Usos, continuing their feud with a standard tag match at WrestleMania. Though this match is a nice ode to old school WWE WrestleManias where tag matches were thrown together not always based on the belts, this one could use a boost.
Adding the Table Match stipulation -- even against The Dudleyz' wishes will could go a long way in making this contest even better.
2) High Stakes
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is great because it pays homage to one of WrestleMania's greatest legends and gets everyone else onto the card. That being said, it could use a jolt.
Winning the big trophy is nice, but in the end, it's pretty meaningless as the winner never even carries it around. If the WWE adds a stipulation, such as the winner is guaranteed a shot at any title the next night on Monday Night RAW, it would add to the intrigue of an otherwise throwaway match.
3) Divas Revolution
The Triple Threat Match between Divas Champion Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch has legitimate potential to steal the show -- if the WWE allows it to. The ladies have been stifled throughout the year.
Hell, Lynch and Banks were kept off of "RAW" altogether this week, while Charlotte only received brief promo time. If the WWE wants to make people care about the division, it will give these ladies 20-30 minutes to put women's wrestling on the map.
4) Ambrose Asylum
It's time to make a star out of Dean Ambrose. Much like no one really believed the "Lunatic Fringe" had even the slightest chance of beating Triple H at Roadblock on Saturday (he didn't, of course), most pundits believe he'll fall to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. The WWE has done a lot to establish "The Beast" as an unbeatable monster, but they added a slight window for an upset by making it a Street Fight.
WrestleMania is the place where new stars are born, and Ambrose should have a defining moment at the "Show of Shows" by stunning everyone and beating Lesnar. One loss won't kill Lesnar, but a win for Ambrose over his imposing opponent can do wonders for his career.
5) Bloody Hell
Well it seemed like there would be a curveball thrown in, but nope: The WWE is legitimately going with an Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania. Though the storyline doesn't always make sense, most notably 'Taker doing Vince McMahon's bidding, this match could be fun.
Shane-O Mac knows how to raise his game up a level and will likely sell like crazy for "The Deadman." The WWE should reintroduce blood into a match of this magnitude by having 'Taker split open his boss' son. Hopefully the McMahon family drama is at a minimum and The Undertaker and Shane McMahon are given the platform to put on an amazing match -- a lot is riding on it.
6) Evil (Roman) Empire
The WWE has again ignored its fans and looks to be pushing Roman Reigns as the next top babyface. It's likely the Leader of the Roman Empire will do what he wasn't able to last year, escape WrestleMania with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
If the WWE insists on this happening, it could at least give the fans what they want: a heel Reigns. The former Shield member is going to be booed by the likely over 80,000 fans in attendance anyway, so why not just cave and have him embrace it? A heel turn could be a very memorable moment for Reigns and may allow the fans to get behind him.
