Throughout the years, WWE WrestleMania has been the backdrop for some of the most memorable matches, greatest moments and biggest performances of all-time.

WrestleMania 32 will continue this rich tradition when it hits the airwaves on April 3. The spectacle will emanate live from AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Continuing our reflection on the history of WrestleMania from last year, we'll look into the 31st edition of the "Show of Shows."

The WWE brought its marquee event to the Bay Area as WrestleMania 31 went live from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Mar. 29, 2015, with 76,976 fans in attendance.

It appeared as though Roman Reigns was set to have his big moment when he clashed with Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but wild twists and turns were in store.

Here are the three best moments from WrestleMania 31:

3) Stinging Debut

In one of the most shocking moments in WWE history, Sting finally made his debut at Survivor Series 2014. "The Vigilante" generated a feud with Triple H upon his arrival and was set to battle "The Game" at WrestleMania.

It was a surreal sight to see Sting step into a WWE ring for his first-ever match with the company. The bout was full of nostalgia as D-Generation X interfered on behalf of Triple H, while the nWo came out to aid Sting.

The ending was a bit suspect as Triple H defeated Sting to win the match, which seemed like a bit of an odd choice. Still, it was epic to see the two legends go head-to-head.

2) YES!leMania

WrestleMania kicked off with one of the best opening matches in the show's history. Bad News Barrett defended the Intercontinental Championship in a Ladder Match against Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler and Stardust.

This was a tremendous clash with very memorable spots, one which saw Ambrose go flying through a ladder on the outside of the ring. In the end, Bryan stood tall to win the Intercontinental Championship just one year after capturing the richest prize in the game at the cornerstone event.

It would prove to be Bryan's final WrestleMania Moment as he would end up having to retire due to a concussion.

1) 'The Architect' Builds A Legacy

The main event of the evening saw Brock Lesnar defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, but it was about to take a wild turn. During the bout, Seth Rollins shockingly entered the fray, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to make the contest a Triple Threat Match.

"The Architect," who lost to Randy Orton in a singles match earlier in the night, hit Reigns with the Curb Stomp and pinned him to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time.

It was one of the most shocking and greatest endings in WrestleMania history as Rollins put himself on the map and stole the show.
