Dean Ambrose has a chance to steal the show on two separate occasions against two marquee opponents.
The "Lunatic Fringe" is set to take on Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Roadblock on Saturday. A few weeks later, he'll head to AT&T Stadium in Texas for a battle with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
It's unlikely that Ambrose will win the gold from "The Game," but he could go a long way in getting the WWE's recognition if he puts on a tremendous match with the COO.
With Ambrose already booked to face Lesnar at WrestleMania, and Triple H set to battle No. 1 contender Roman Reigns, it's unlikely the WWE would switch up its plans this close to the "Show of Shows."
Still, Ambrose has a huge opportunity to reach out and grab the brass ring that the WWE has placed in front of him. The former Shield member isn't always given strong booking, especially considering the monstrous push that Reigns has received.
Add in former Hounds of Justice stablemate Seth Rollins' lengthy title reign and it's noteworthy that Ambrose is the only one of the three to not have a run with the belt. While he may eat two consecutive losses to Triple H and Lesnar, if Ambrose at least puts up a fight, the crowd will continue to support him.
Guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are proof that the WWE doesn't always listen to its fans, but at least with Ambrose, they're giving him a shot to show what he has in him in two big spots.
Though Ambrose's booking since the Shield split has been weaker than that of his former teammates, he has a chance to flip the script. Triple H is a huge opponent for him, not only because he's the champion, but because he makes the decisions behind the scenes.
If the two have chemistry at Roadblock and Ambrose also impresses in the David vs. Goliath clash with Lesnar on the WWE's grandest stage, it could do wonders for his career.
Ambrose may not escape Toronto with the gold Saturday, but a strong showing over the next month could eventually lead to him becoming WWE Champion someday soon.
