The highly anticipated Air Jordan 30 shoe will hit the market this weekend, and is expected to get a lot of attention.

According to Nike, the Air Jordan 30, the newest addition to the legendary shoe line, will come out on March 5 in White/University Blue/Black colorway on Saturday.

This edition features a white-based upper part with university blue hints, including the toe box, and black hints on tongue area. It also has black lining and laces, and was finished off with white midsole and icy blue translucent outsole. It also sports a white Jumpman logo and black "XXX" logo on the outsole.

The Air Jordan 30 "University Blue" also has reflective material, which helped Jordan Brand create a Jumpman logo on the toe box that is only visible at some angles. North Carolina was also represented by a blue dot on the global-themed tongue.

"The next frontier of flight has arrived," Nike noted. "Equipped with a lightweight Flyknit and jacquard upper and FlightSpeed technology, the latest Air Jordan model represents the pinnacle of innovation in basketball footwear. Celebrating 30 years of Air Jordan greatness, the new Air Jordan XXX honors number 23's roots."

The new Air Jordan 30 "University Blue" will be available for $200 per pair and will be available only through SNKRS.

According to a statement from Nike, the Air Jordan 30 represents Jordan Brand's evolution over the past 30 years. Designer Tinker Hatfield revealed that Jordan asked him to design the shoe in February last year during a pre-birthday dinner. During that time, he felt he has little time left to come up with an exceptional design.

"The next morning I drew a shoe," Hatfield said. "Because I knew I was in deep trouble. We had no time. Then I realized it wasn't good enough to sketch a shoe. I asked for that particular photo of Michael in the slam dunk contest and then I drew."
