Kobe 11 sneakers have been making a lot of noise the past few months, especially after Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant announced that he will retire this summer.
Fans of the popular signature shoe have something to look forward to, as Nike announced the release of another colorway this weekend, while another eye-catching edition surfaced online.
The Kobe 11 will be released in "Eulogy" edition, which is officially listed as the Hyper Grape/White-Black-University Gold colorway on Saturday, starting 10 a.m. ET.
The Kobe 11 "Eulogy" features a purple-based upper part, combined with silver Nike Swoosh and white Mamba logo on the black tongue. It also has the popular four red lines on the heel, symbolizing Bryant's recovery from a torn Achilles tendon. His jersey numbers 8 and 24 were also placed on the heel of the other pair.
This edition, which was finished off with an icy blue translucent outsole, is obviously a tribute to Bryant legendary career and his dedication to the game, which helped him win five NBA championships in his 20-year career in the league. Bryant was also praised for his loyalty after sticking with the Lakers despite their recent struggles.

"Gold and purple run through his veins," Nike noted, referring to Bryant. "After 20 years in the league, Kobe's legacy is more than just championships -- his unparalleled competitiveness, focus and loyalty to his team and himself will not be forgotten. He will always be a hero."
The Kobe 11 "Eulogy" will be available for $200 per pair on Nike.com and selected retailers worldwide. More information and photos are available on the official product page.
After the upcoming release of the "Eulogy" edition, Nike will also make the Kobe 11 available in University Gold/University Red-Black colorway, which is dubbed the colorway as the "Bruce Lee" edition.
Based on the alleged leaked photos posted on Nike Blog, the Kobe 11 "Bruce Lee" is also a Lakers colorway, as it features a gold-based upper part with red and black hints. If the report is to be believed, fans can get their hands on this edition starting March 19 for $200 each. Check Sports World News for more updates in the coming days.
