With the NFL combine in full swing, everyone's favorite pastime has commenced another year -- mock drafting.

And if the pundits at NFL.com are accurate, the Cowboys are targeting a pass rusher, which could signal the end of Greg Hardy's brief stop in Big D. Hardy signed a one-year deal last offseason and contributed six sacks in 12 games after serving a four-game suspension for his domestic violence conviction.

But Cowboys coach Jason Garrett seems content with the 27-year-old leaving his team.

"Greg Hardy is a free agent," Garrett said when asked about Hardy's standing with the Cowboys, according to USA Today Sports.

That response ran contrary to a question he answered only moments earlier about evaluating free agents.

"We're going to take our time here the next couple of weeks," Garrett said. "There are a number of guys on our team that we absolutely want back. We know that. We'll go through this process here through February in the early part of March leading up to the start of the new league year. We want a lot of those guys back on the football team. We know that.

"We haven't gone through it -- player-by-player evaluations -- to come up with definitive answers for every one of them yet. When we get back from the combine, we'll do that and continue to start to build our football team."

So look for Ohio State product Joey Bosa or Myles Jack from UCLA to be rushing around the end with a star on their helmet next season rather than Hardy, which will make some people extremely happy.
