Laura Govan believes Matt Barnes will move on from his feud with Derek Fisher.

The Grizzlies role player got involved in a physical altercation with the former Knicks coach at his ex-wife Gloria Govan's house in October. Fisher is Barnes' ex-teammate with the Lakers, and the Memphis player was not happy to hear that he was swooping in on his former flame.

Despite the physical altercation and discontent that still resides between the two parties, Govan's sister, Laura, believes Barnes will be able to persevere and distance himself from the incident.

"Life goes on," Laura Govan told TMZ. "Life goes on period. And you never, ever know where love is gonna come from. So things happen, you move on."

While Laura has some faith in Barnes moving on, it appears unlikely he'll heed her advice. He seems to think he will cross paths with Fisher again, likely in a physical way, somewhere down the line.

"I know I got to keep my mouth shut because then he'll run and tell," Barnes said about Fisher in January during the lead up to a Grizzlies-Knicks game via The New York Daily News prior to Fisher's firing. "So we're focused on playing that team [the Knicks]. And when I'm retired, him and I will cross paths again."

Barnes and Gloria Govan had a tumultuous past, which included the NBA star getting arrested on domestic disturbance charges in 2010.
