Tim Tebow hasn't played in an NFL game in over three years, but that hasn't kept America from still loving him.

The former NFL quarterback last threw a pass in an NFL game on Dec. 17, 2012, yet he still has the support of many football fans. Tebow is the fifth-most popular quarterback in America, according to a recent poll conducted by Public Policy Polling.

The survey, which was taken on Feb. 2 and 3 and gauged the opinions of 410 NFL fans, concluded with 7 percent of those polled selecting the former Heisman Trophy winner as their favorite quarterback.

Tebow played for the Broncos -- where he rose to prominence with some playoff magic -- before making stops with the Jets, Patriots and Eagles. Philadelphia cut him last September and he hasn't found another home despite a plethora of teams being in need of a quarterback.

Tebow received more votes than Drew Brees (4 percent), Eli Manning (6 percent) and Russell Wilson (6 percent), who is the NFL's top merchandise mover. The only quarterbacks to receive more votes than him were Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton -- all of whom have at least one MVP Award to their name.

Public Policy Polling acknowledged that Tebow is no longer an active player in the NFL, but said it included him "because he's such a lightning rod." That was evident in the voting, as 10 percent of the voters selected the polarizing signal caller as their least favorite.

Tebow has started just 16 games in his NFL career, but apparently he made quite the impact on many people.
