Lamar Odom is beginning to show he doesn't need Khloe Kardashian for everything anymore.

The former NBA star made his first public appearance since his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in October on Feb. 11 alongside his estranged wife. Since then, he's been able to branch out on his own.

Lamar Odom Is Most Normal Of Kardashian Klan's Significant Others

There have been rumors that Kardashian and Odom have rekindled their romance, but he's also beginning to show some signs of independence. The two-time NBA champion was spotted out at a grocery store with his wellness coach on Saturday, according to Us Weekly.

Odom was then seen in public on Sunday and he was once again Kardashian-less. The 2011 NBA Sixth Man of the Year attended a college baseball game as Cal State Northridge hosted CSU Bakersfield.

It's unknown why exactly Odom was at the game, but he was spotted there alone and was rooting for the home team, according to TMZ.

This is just the latest in the unbelievable progress Odom has made since his drug binge nearly cost him his life. That episode led to Kardashian halting divorce proceedings with him in order to help support him through his recovery.

The "Kocktails with Khloe" star has since ended her relationship with Rockets guard James Harden amid rumors of the spark between her and Odom resurfacing.

Whether or not his relationship with the reality star continues, Odom's actions this weekend show that either way, he doesn't have to depend as much on the Kardashians anymore.
