Travis Browne may have saved Ronda Rousey from the brink, but he isn't acting like a hero.

The former UFC women's bantamweight champion revealed in an interview on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she had suicidal thoughts following her first-ever defeat in the Octagon.

Holly Holm Responds To Ronda Rousey's Suicidal Thoughts

After Holly Holm defeated Rousey via knockout at UFC 193 in November, "Rowdy" was left in a dark place.

She revealed that the only thing that helped her overcome her thoughts of ending it all was Browne, her fellow UFC fighter boyfriend. The heavyweight, however, doesn't believe he deserves any accolades just for doing what any boyfriend should do.

Not Everyone Believes Ronda Rousey Should Pursue Holly Holm Rematch

"I was there to support her in any way I could, just like any man would do for his woman," Browne said via Activ8media.com. "It's pretty simple. There's no magic in it. We go through those dark times and we need someone to lean on. I hate the fact that she had to go through that dark time, but like she said, it happened for a reason and there's a great purpose. This is our story and this is our life, and I would go through hell and back for her."

Rousey was a perfect 12-0 before her loss to Holm, but now she's already back training for a hopeful rematch despite the setback. After the defeat, Rousey fell down a spiral of darkness until the site of Browne helped pull her out of it.

"To be honest, I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing there and I looked up at him and I was like I need to have his babies, I need to stay alive," Rousey told Ellen of what rallied her from her momentary suicidal thoughts. "Really that was it."

While Browne is glad to have been there to support the woman he loves after her loss to Holm, he isn't looking for any recognition.

"It means a lot that somebody would look at me in that way, especially Ronda. She's such a sweetheart," he said. "She's a great fighter and athlete and a big movie star, but what impresses me most is the woman that she is. She is who she is 100 percent of the time and I really respect that about her, just the woman she is and that's what I love most about her."
