If Saturday is any indication, Peyton Manning is better off retiring before his legacy is tainted beyond repair.

Shaun King is the latest journalist to shed light on a black eye on Manning's reputation, revealing details of a sexual assault he allegedly committed at Tennessee in 1996. The details are as scathing as your memory will allow it to be.

Peyton Manning Urged To Retire By Teammates

"Manning allegedly then proceeded to scoot down the training table while [Dr. Jamie] Naughright examined his foot," King wrote, per New York Daily News. "At that point, she said, he forcefully maneuvered his naked testicles and rectum directly on her face with his penis on top of her head. Shocked, disgusted, and offended, Naughright pushed Manning away, removing her head out from under him.

"Within hours, she reported the incident to the Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Knoxville."

Sexiest Women Broncos Have To Offer

Nothing ever came of it. Naughright settled her suit against the University of Tennessee for a reported $300,000. Manning went on to live out an illustrious NFL career.

Twenty years later, it's attempted to become an issue again.

Saturday's developments are not as damning as Brett Favre's involvement with Jenn Sterger in 2008 -- those were actually pertinent to Favre's character as he neared retirement -- but this is the latest attempt to question Manning's legacy.

The HGH allegations are still fresh in everyone's mind and Manning is now forced to deal with a rehashed sexual assault case.

He's better off retiring before any other skeletons in his closet are brought into the light.
