After a premature ending to his 2015 season, CC Sabathia is ready for the new campaign.

The Yankees pitcher surprised many when he checked himself into rehab on Oct. 5 and revealed just how troubling his problems with alcohol were. The announcement came on the eve of the club's AL Wild Card Game against the Astros.

As Sabathia made the announcement about checking himself into rehab to address his issues, the Yankees went on to lose to the Astros, 3-0, the following day.

With all of that behind him, Sabthia is looking and feeling good as he eyes Opening Day on April 4, when New York kicks off its season against that same Houston club.

"I'm healthy. And I'm able to do all my workouts a lot better," Sabathia told Page Six, which reported he looked great. "I've been working really hard the last three months, and I'm ready to go."

Since his stint in rehab, the former Cy Young Award winner has been enjoying time with his family.

"I came home a couple of different times throughout the stay, but it was fun just to get back and be a part of the family," he said.

Sabathia, 35, finished 6-10 last season with a 4.73 ERA. With a new perspective, Sabathia enters the 2016 season determined.
