It's no coincidence Jeremy Lin has acclimated to live in Charlotte. After all, playing for the Hornets doesn't carry the same pressure as the Knicks or Lakers.

Hornets Can't Trade Jeremy Lin

Lin clearly couldn't handle that kind of pressure.

Speaking with GQ.com -- more about his hair than anything else -- the 27-year-old admitted to being a more kindered spirit in Charlotte. His hair is a reflection of his ability to enjoy his current NBA path.

Jeremy Lin Should Start Praying For More Wins Instead

"I think this just may be a sign of where I'm at. Like, personally, just being able to enjoy everything a little more," Lin said, per GQ.com. "I think when I was younger, I probably wouldn't have been so free or loose with my hair, or whatever it might be.

"I think at this point I'm just really in a place where I feel like I'm ... I'm ... [pauses] I'm able to enjoy and appreciate God's blessing in putting me here in the NBA, versus in years past [when I wasn't] really able to enjoy that because I was so fixated on what I needed to do or accomplish.

"So I think the whole hair thing is just an example of that."

To be fair to Lin, it's hard to enjoy basketball when Kobe Bryant is flipping out on you.

Or when Carmelo Anthony won't pass you the ball.

There's no need, however, to worry about that in Charlotte. There's no melodramatic personality lurking in the locker room and the pressure to win isn't as magnified.

For Lin, that's exactly the kind of environment he needs.
