Turns out, not everyone thinks Johnny Manziel is a bum under center. There's at least one member of the Browns -- probably because of the constant head collisions at the line of scrimmage -- who thinks the controversial QB has the talent to make it in the NFL.

LT Joe Thomas became a fan of Manziel this past season. Needless to say, he's not happy with the way things have transpired.

Even Charlie Sheen Is Worried About Johnny Manziel

"It's a sad end to the story in Cleveland for Johnny,'' Thomas said, per Cleveland.com. "He's a guy that personally I like. I believe he has a lot of talent.

"He's got the talent to be an NFL quarterback, but it obviously hasn't worked out so far.''

Really, Joe? He's "got the talent?"

Maybe the NFL viewing audience missed that amid his 2-6 record as a professional QB. Maybe they were blinded by his astonishing completion percentage -- you know, the one that topped out at 57 percent. Or maybe, just maybe, Thomas was hoping to be a bigger part of the passing game in 2016.

Manziel appears to be the only QB in the NFL willing enough to pass the ball to his protectors.

Fortunately, Thomas isn't charged with running an NFL franchise.

There are bad enough talent evaluators out there -- ESPN employs one with Skip Bayless -- there's no need for another.
