In its latest effort to advertise John Cena's upcoming return to the ring this Sunday night at WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, the WWE released a new vignette that chronicles the Cenation leader's WWE career.

The video highlights Cena's career from his debut all the way to his rise to stardom and becoming the face of the WWE, while it also looks at the controversy as many fans soon got tired of his act and turned against him.

Cena is returning Sunday live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, F.L. to take on Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship in his first match since Aug. 18 at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view where he dropped the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan.

Cena announced on the episode of Monday Night RAW the following night on Aug. 19 that he would be missing a significant amount of time due to the discovery that he had to undergo surgery for a torn triceps and a distended elbow. His original timetable for return was January at the WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but he was able to return after missing just over two months despite the fact that his original diagnosis slated him to miss four-to-six months with the injury.

Ever since he was diagnosed with the ailment, Cena has vowed via his Twitter account to come back stronger than ever, and through his vigorous rehab program he was able to cut his time away significantly, as he's been able to do in the past with other injuries.

Cena vs. Del Rio is just one of the many highlights on the card for Sunday's pay-per-view. Another big match on the card is for the vacant WWE Championship between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton, in a match that will live up to the pay-per-view's name and be contested inside the confines of a Hell in a Cell. Adding to the match is the return of WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who will be the special guest referee.

In another high profile contest on the card that will also be conducted in the cell, CM Punk will be taking on Ryback and Paul Heyman in a two-on-one handicap match as their feud will continue in what promises to be a barbaric match.

There will be plenty of gold on the line at the event as well as the Tag Titles will be contested when Goldust and Cody Rhodes defend their straps in a triple threat tag team match against The Shield (Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) and The Usos consisting of Jimmy and Jey.

In other championship matches, Curtis Axel will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Big E Langston on the pre-show while AJ Lee will defend her Divas Title against Brie Bella on the pay-per-view.

Cena will make his return Sunday night against Del Rio and the WWE will hope for a ratings boost when one of its most popular yet most controversial superstars hits the ring for the first time in over two months Sunday night at Hell in a Cell in Miami.
