Today at 2:45 p.m. at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, AC Milan will take the pitch and host Barcelona for a UEFA Champions League match that can be live streamed here.
Barcelona is 2-0 through their first two Champions League games this year, and have ridden a devastating combination of solid offense and elite defense. Barca has not surrendered a goal in the first two matches, and AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said he's looking forward to today's great challenge.
"Tomorrow's match is important for everyone but especially for the standings," he said yesterday about taking on Barcelona. "It's always a fascinating game to play against them, it's a game of the highest level in Europe. They remain the strongest team in the world."
As far as trying to figure out how they will penetrate what has so far been a steel curtain, Allegri said, "We will need 90 minutes of great patience, making sure we give them few chances. We need to play as a team. We have to repeat the same game that we played in February from a tactical point of view."
They might find scoring difficult today with star Mario Balotelli injured and potentially out of the lineup altogether. "Balotelli is much better and we will evaluate his condition in training today," Allegri said. "We will see if he will feature against Barcelona."
Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves and Alexis Sanchez will all take the pitch for Barcelona, having missed the last game in Primera League as part of a plan to rest the stars. "With the chances that we had, we should have won," Barca coach Gerardo Martino lamented. "But I'm not worried because I didn't see my team take a step back in terms of performance."
While Barca is on a two-game winning streak, and has a goal differential of plus-five, Milan is also unbeaten with one win and one draw. They've scored three goals on the year and allowed just on.
