Peyton Manning Rams Rumors: Magic Johnson Issues Assist To Los Angeles Rams [VIDEO]

During his prime, Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson was known for dishing assists to his teammates and make them look good. He has made an art out of that department in the NBA and he may just be doing the same (technically) right now for the Rams.

Johnson did mention via USA Today that he would love to pitch in and help the Rams and he may have just taken the first step when he and Peyton Manning recently appeared on the Tonight Show.

While the two had a fun time with Jimmy Fallon when they smashed eggs on their head, it was the perfect opportunity for Johnson to issue another assist to the Rams.

It is no secret that the Rams are seriously considering Manning for next season though all that will depend on what the 39-year-old quarterback decides to do.

Manning recently won his second Super Bowl when the Broncos stifled the favored Carolina Panthers and the five-time MVP avoided any talk about what he plans to do next.

The Broncos don’t intend to rush Manning to make a decision though they would appreciate it if the veteran quarterback would make his decision before March 9.

March 9 is when Manning’s $19 million base salary becomes guaranteed and will count against the Broncos team salary cap.

"I tried to talk somebody out of retirement and come to the Rams," said Johnson via WTHR Channel 13. "I said, 'Man, if you play again, come to the Rams.' I was working on him backstage. I will even chip in some money."

While Johnson’s intentions are good, the final say will still be Manning’s. There are some who believe that he will play one more season like teammate and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. His father, Archie Manning, however believes he is done with the Broncos and unlikely to play for another club.
