Daniel Bryan revealed on Monday that his wrestling career is over and while many fans are upset, the details prove he really had no choice.

The Undertaker vs. Sting Is Right Choice For WrestleMania 32

The four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion revealed on Twitter that he was hanging up his wrestling boots, sending shockwaves through the WWE Universe. The WWE then allowed him to say an emotional goodbye to the fans in the closing segment of Monday Night RAW this week.

Bryan told fans he was very grateful for all he was able to accomplish in his 16-year career. The "Yes Man" then appeared on ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Tuesday in their "Off The Top Rope" segment. Here are some of the things we've learned about Bryan's injury.

1) 10 Concussions

Bryan revealed that he had at least 10 documented concussions, but also added that there is a lot of mystery surrounding how many head injuries he's had because it's hard to actually tally them all.

"Well, we've been able to document 10 concussions," Bryan told ESPN anchor and former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman. "And as a lot of people who are familiar with concussions know, you can't document all of them."

Bryan also said it's hard to define concussions, which is why there is an element of mystery to his injury.

2) Failing The Test

Bryan said he took several EEG tests in New York City, which measures his electrical brain currents, and while many of them came out great, he found that he had slowing in his brain, including a "chronic legion" in part of his brain.

3) Seizures

"The Beard" also revealed that he had post-concussion seizures that he tried to keep under wraps.

"One of the things that's been part of this is that I've had post-concussion seizures that I've hid for a long time," Bryan said. "So there was never any evidence to see why I would have these seizures, but then we finally found some."

Though it's unfortunate Bryan's career came to an end, he leaves behind an amazing legacy in the squared circle and the details of his injury reveal he had no choice other than to retire.
