The Warriors didn’t just put on a show of epic proportions when they traveled to Washington D.C. to stomp the Wizards, led by Stephen Curry’s 51-point explosion. They also paid a visit to the White House, where President Barack Obama gave them some shout-outs.

His biggest praise was not necessarily for reigning MVP Stephen Curry, however, whom Obama called “a pretty good shooter,” with a chuckle. “Obviously watching Steph play is incredible, and for anybody who enjoys watching basketball it’s a lot of fun.

“But it’s not just Steph. There’s the other ‘Splash Brother’ Klay [Thompson] who dropped 37 in a quarter, and whose jump shot is actually a little prettier. I mean, I’m just saying,” Obama said.

Afterward Curry said he’d probably get in the gym to work on that. "I hadn't heard that one before. The president said it; I can't argue with the president. He said Klay's is nice," Curry said. "I guess I've got to work on that."

Curry Should Worry About Draymond Green Stealing MVP Votes

Warriors coach Steve Kerr wouldn’t play favorites, even if Obama gave Thompson his blessing. "As their coach, I will say their shots are equally as beautiful."

This year Curry’s shooting better than Thompson, nailing 45.8 percent of his 10.8 3-point attempts a night, while Thompson is connecting on 43.4 percent while shooting 7.6 a game. Thompson will have an opportunity to best his Splash Brother soon enough at the NBA All-Star Weekend, where both will once again participate in the 3-Point shootout.
