UFC president Dana White has talked confidently and emphatically on his cash cow Conor McGregor a lot until perhaps today.

White was recently on The Buzzer and alleged that he doesn’t see how McGregor can survive an opponent as large as UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

The UFC president need not look far to back up his claim. He singles out the likes of Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone, dos Anjos last two opponents. The Brazilian downed the two foes via TKO in the first round.

McGregor will be making a significant leap to the lightweight division (10 pounds) which could eventually become a difference.

With the additional weight, McGregor could find himself a bit new to it which could affect his agility and strikes, facets that he has been well known for in the featherweight division per the Bleacher Report.

Though White had previously mentioned that is confident that McGregor can walk his talk (via MMA Fighting), his latest prediction is seen by many as probably part of the script to build hype for UFC 196.

Without it, McGregor is already a heavy underdog against the Brazilian champion though surprises are not excluded. The Notorious’ last 13-second win over Jose Aldo is still fresh in the minds of UFC fans though Aldo is a whole lot different from his friend dos Anjos.

Whatever comes out, Aldo still ends up the winner after UFC 196. He still holds the featherweight champion by the end of the night which means dos Anjos stands to lose more than the brash-talking Irishman.
