Today at 4:05 p.m. ET, the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) go head-to-head with the Tennessee Titans (3-3) live from LP Field in Tennessee. The game can be live streamed here. San Francisco fans can hear all the action on KNBR 680 AM, while Tennessee fans can do the same on WKDF 103.3FM.
The 49ers enter this game in search of a fourth straight victory while the Titans are hoping to avoid a third straight defeat as their offense has been struggling.
San Francisco has looked solid on both sides of the ball en route to defeating the St. Louis Rams, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals in the last three weeks.
"There's good things, there's encouraging things and we'll keep striving to get better," coach Jim Harbaugh told ESPN.
San Francisco's running game has helped it rattle off three-straight wins as Frank Gore has rushed for 417 yards and averaged 5.7 yards per carry in the last four outings. On the season, Gore has carried for 477 yards on 103 attempts for three touchdowns through six games.
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has turned his season around, as after throwing four interceptions in the first three weeks of the season, he's thrown one in the last three. Kaepernick has gone 90-for-161 (55.9%) for 1,221 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions. One of his favorite targets has been Vernon Davis, who has six of the eight touchdowns while netting 22 receptions for 404 yards.
"I'm going to give Vernon his chances when I can," said Kaepernick per ESPN. He makes a lot of great plays."
The Titans, meanwhile, will work on holding onto the ball. After not committing a single turnover in its first four games, Tennessee has turned it over five times as Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken over for the injured Jake Locker. Fitzpatrick is 41-for-78 (52.6%) for 526 yards with two touchdowns, but has four interceptions and has been sacked six times.
The Titans are hopeful to get Locker back, but aren't making any changes as of now.
The team announced that Locker will return as the starter this afternoon. On the season, Locker is 69-for-111 (62.2%) for 721 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions through four games this sesaon.
Tennessee will look to get its run game back up as Chris Johnson has rushed for just 71 yards on 37 carries the last three games. Johnson has yet to reach the end zone this season while rushing for 327 yards on 107 attempts.
The 49ers look to win four in a row while the Titans try to avoid their losing streak stretching to three games when these two teams take the field this afternoon.
