At 10:00 p.m. the Oregon Ducks (6-0) will try to continue terrorizing Pac-12 defenses when they host Washington State in Autzen Stadium in a game that can be live streamed here, or seen on television on Fox Sports 1. Ducks fans can listen to the game on Sports 750 The Game, while Washington State fans can hear the game on KXLY 920.
No. 2 Oregon is riding the arm and legs of quarterback Marcus Mariota to a whopping 56.8 points per game. They faced the Washington Huskies last week, who were supposed to test Oregon. Mariota chewed them up, though, accounting for four touchdowns in a 45-24 victory.
"He was awesome," coach Mark Helfrich said. "He played really smart and very productive. A bunch of guys made a bunch of plays for him, too." He registered a passer rating of 208.5 and 454 total yards.
The Washington State Cougars are heavy underdogs in this tilt, coming into Saturday, but Mariota is not taking any opponent lightly, especially after Stanford's perfect season bit the dust last week.
"Guys understand that for the last couple years we've let one go," Mariota said. "Guys don't want to have that happen again, so guys have the right mindset."
Washington State is starving for a big win after a brutal collapse last week against Oregon State. The Cougars led 24-17 in the third quarter before unraveling and allowing the Beavers to score the next five touchdowns. "Coming off this loss, we are more hungry and humbled," linebacker Darryl Monroe said. "We have to go out and get a win."
In this game Oregon will be wearing pink helmets to help raise awareness for breast cancer. "Cancer has touched so many lives and hopefully, together with Nike and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, we can help create awareness and help raise money for the fight against women's cancers," Helfrich said in a statement. "It is an honor to join coach Yow's team in a fight that unites us all."
