Today at 3:30 p.m. ET, No. 9 UCLA (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) and No. 13 Stanford (5-1, 3-1 Pac-12) mix it up live from Stanford Stadium in California. The game can be live streamed here. UCLA fans can tune into all the action on KLAC AM 570 while Stanford fans can do the same on KNBR AM 1050.
UCLA looks to remain unbeaten on the season while Stanford will try to extend their home winning streak to 13 games.
UCLA is coming off of a 37-10 home win over California to break into the top 10. Quarterback Brett Hundley threw for a career-high 410 yards for the third highest rank in UCLA history. Hundley has gone 109-for-160 (68.1%) for 1,469 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.
UCLA will try not to let its emotions control it when the team takes the field this afternoon.
"I think you have to be careful when you make it about redemption," UCLA coach Jim Mora said per ESPN. "Then you start to get emotional. It has to be about us. We have goals and expectations. We want to play with emotion but not be emotional. They beat us twice last year, (including) in the Pac-12 championship game. When those things become a factor, I think you are making a mistake. Stanford is an outstanding football team."
Stanford comes in after having its 13-game regular winning streak snapped in a 27-21 loss to Utah last week.
"We knew we were coming into a hornets' nest here," Stanford coach David Shaw told ESPN. "UCLA came in here a week ago and barely squeaked out. We knew it would be a battle and we didn't play well enough."
Quarterback Kevin Hogan lost his first game as a starter after winning his first 10 in a row. Thus far this season, Hogan has gone 82-for-134 (61.2%) for 1,183 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. Stanford comes in ranked 11th in total offense in the Pac-12 by averaging 405.2 yards per game.
"The first word I used is perspective," Shaw said via ESPN. "Let's look at where we are. Let's look at how we got here. Let's look at where we're going. That's the most important thing for me. In order to really go forward, you have to look at where you are."
UCLA meanwhile, ranks fifth in the nation with 547.0 yards per game, but will likely be without leading rusher Jordon James (ankle), who has rushed for 463 yards on 74 attempts for five touchdowns.
UCLA wants to remain undefeated while Stanford doesn't want to snap its home winning streak, but one of these teams must fall when they collide this afternoon.
