Anthony "Rumble" Johnson Tainted By More Misogyny

Preview

Ryan Bader is very deserving of a title shot at Daniel Cormier’s light heavyweight strap after winning five consecutive bouts against quality competition. Even Johnson has admitted that he can’t take Bader lightly.

"He's on a five-fight win streak. He's legit. He's nothing to play with. You can't take him for granted,” Johnson said. He even said that he’s been so exposed to thoughts of a Bader title shot that he hasn’t thought about what’s next for him if he wins.

Ryan Bader Says Title Changed Daniel Cormier

But instead of a title shot, Bader got a non-pay-per-view fight against Johnson, who is still considered the division’s top striker despite losing to Cormier in his own title shot. Instead of crying over spilled milk though, Bader admitted his style may contribute to the UFC not pushing him harder, and has committed to breaking down Johnson and forcing a title shot.

"I'm a grinder and maybe that's why I haven't gotten these title shots," Bader told Fox Sports. “What I do have is go out there and go hard the whole time. I'm going to drag you into deep waters. I've been there many, many times. I think as the fight progresses, it definitely favors me for sure."

He has to, otherwise his opportunity to fight for the UFC light heavyweight title may disappear.
