The Warriors are so good this season, they may be driving some of their competitors crazy.

Suddenly, the Cavs and Clippers have fractured locker rooms, and the only cure seems to be trading away their top players, according to pundits.

LeBron James Should Wear 'Coach Killer' Label With Pride

When the Cavaliers called a team meeting to announce the firing of David Blatt, some of the players thought the meeting was to announce that Kevin Love had been traded, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

But Cavaliers general manager David Griffin told ESPN the team isn't involved in any trade talks for Love.

David Blatt May Be Winner In Divorce From Cavaliers

"You'd have to go a long way to convince me that we're a better team winning in the Finals without a player like Kevin on our team," Griffin said in an interview on ESPN 850 AM in Cleveland. "We've never once put together an offer involving Kevin, nor have we taken a call on an offer for Kevin."

But CBS Sports interpreted that as Cleveland allowing for the possibility of a Love trade. This is a team that has the best record in the Eastern Conference (32-12), but still has just fired its coach and may be trying to unload one of its best players not named LeBron James.

The Clippers' situation is a little grayer, but Blake Griffin's altercation with Los Angeles' assistant trainer/travel manager that resulted in Griffin breaking his hand has muddied an already tenuous situation. The Clippers have the fourth best record in the West (30-16) after choking away the opportunity to appear in the Western Conference Finals last season.

But SB Nation's Celtics Blog is endorsing a trade that would bring Griffin to Boston. Huffington Post is suggesting the Clippers send Chris Paul packing.

This is a team that rung in the new year with a 10-game winning streak and has a 30-16 record.

But the fact that they are 12 games behind the Warriors' possible historic season -- and nine games behind the Spurs, who also have an all-star cast, have produced talk of desperate measures.

Does anyone think the Clippers are better without Griffin or Paul? Who would the Cavaliers get that would make them better this season than they are with Love? Cleveland is 32-12, by the way.

Sometimes patience is the best medicine, but making an impulse moves satisfies fan bases who believe their teams should be winning now. Nevermind the fact that Golden State is embarking upon a once-in-a-lifetime run.
