Cleveland Cavaliers Rumors: Fired Coach David Blatt Big Winner In Split From Team [VIDEO]

It looks like LeBron James, er, the Cavaliers has or have made David Blatt's life a lot easier.

The former Cleveland coach has been the one getting most of the sympathy in the wake of his firing late last week. He had an 83-40 record with the Cavs in a year and a half's worth of work and took the team to the NBA Finals, running out of bodies to run alongside James to compete with the Warriors.

Nobody Believes LeBron James Didn't Know About David Blatt's Firing

And if Blatt is upset about his ouster, it sure doesn't look like it, according to Busted Coverage.

"But while the Internet had fun with Blatt losing his job, it quickly became evident that he was the real winner in all of this," Busted Coverage reported. "Pretty much every NBA coach condemned the move, the Cavs got blown out in their first game without him, and everyone in Israel now hates LeBron. Most people dance on the grave of a fired coach, but that's not the case with David."

LeBron James: Media Treated Kobe Better Than Kevin Durant Thinks

To further illustrate its point, Busted Coverage found a couple of tweets involving Blatt after his firing. In one tweet, he is posing with a fan while reportedly out shopping. Another says he was at the Cheesecake Factory and was "all smiles."

Then again, having a 6-foot-8, 250-pound NBA superstar off your back could make anyone feel better.

The Cavaliers have insisted James had nothing to do with Blatt getting fired and that he wasn't even aware of it before it happened. But Blatt firmly believes his ouster had everything to do with LeBron.

"One source close to Blatt's camp, however, told TNT analyst David Aldridge that even if James wasn't explicitly consulted, he was still the one facilitating the firing," Yahoo Sports reported.

From Aldridge, via Yahoo Sports: "Blatt's camp believes that his firing was '1,000 percent LeBron,' as one supporter said over the weekend. There is no question that in the Cavs' grand scheme of things, James carried, and carries, the hammer."

So while James likely will have to figure out how to live with losing five NBA Finals appearances -- to either the Spurs or the Warriors, Blatt will ride off into oblivion knowing he won the public relations battle against The Chosen One.
