Fabricio Werdum holds close ties with Rafael dos Anjos and apparently he was keeping tabs on the UFC 197 press conference to make the latter’s fight with Conor McGregor official.

Werdum feels that dos Anjos was disrespected during the presser and thankfully he wasn’t around. This had something to do with McGregor’s usual antics, cutting off dos Anjos whenever he was asked something or was set to speak.

Holly Holm On Ronda Rousey's Desire For Rematch: 'Whatever'

"When the guys had questions for Rafael, he talked at the same time," Werdum told Fox Sports. "This is not good. If I'm there, if my opponents said that, I'd grab the water or the juice and (motions to throw it on them) -- 100 percent, or I'm going to say (slap) 'Be quiet!' It's a different personality."

Aside from that, he praised his “brother” for keeping his composure and not losing his cool. And like dos Anjos, he believes that McGregor can be shut up once the two face-off at UFC 197 this March.

CM Punk Should Worry About Making Debut, Not How Many Times He'll Fight

"Conor McGregor, he talked too much, but after that he showed but this time he's wrong because it's a different division," he said. "When he feels Rafael dos Anjos' hands, it's so different."

That of course remains to be seen, but dos Anjos does hold some advantage since he is in his proper division and has proven himself countless times on the same weight level.

Werdum is likely to throw his full support for dos Anjos, probably even being there for that match.

"When have a fight with my friend, you have a fight with me, too," Werdum says via MMAfighting.com. "We're a family. If you say something bad, you pay for this for sure."
