Boxing News: Middle Men Prevented Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan From Happening [VIDEO]

Former sparring partners and friends Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan have gone separate ways but it seems that there were a lot of undisclosed information surrounding a fight scenario between the two.

Pacquiao will be facing Timothy Bradley Jr. this April 9 for his alleged farewell fight while Amir Khan will most likely face the winner of the fight between Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero. Khan was recently named the mandatory challenger by the WBC per Sky Sports.

Khan and Pacquiao didn’t happen because the Filipino’s camp believed it didn’t pan up financially. But Pacquiao seems to have singled out another reason and it didn’t have anything to do with money.

In a separate report from Sky Sports, Pacquiao says that there were too many people involved acting on behalf of Pacquiao.

"There were a lot of middle men - in negotiations - a lot of representatives from him and that is the reason," says Pacquiao.

So in short, it is the end of Khan which has been singled out as the cause.

Khan has had the knack of putting himself into trouble and eventually costing him title fights.

Last year, Floyd Mayweather and company says that Khan was talking too much despite being told to clam up. The Briton didn’t heed that warning and the result was the American boxer opting to fight Andre Berto instead.

There are some who believe that the move was done purposely for Mayweather to go easy for his last fight but Pacquiao’s recent claims seem to be consistent with the fact that Khan and company are mishandling fight negotiations.

Either way, all is academic. Both have gone separate ways and a fight between the two will never happen.
