They worked so well together in securing the Rams' move to Los Angeles, but now Johnny Manziel could be poised to spoil a beautiful friendship.

The Browns revealed that they fined their embattled quarterback for missing a scheduled medical treatment on the day of their last regular-season game, according to NFL.com.

Refusal Of Help Could Be Sign That Johnny Manziel May Be Contemplating Retirement

New Browns coach Hue Jackson has not met with Manziel, nor does it appear the either side is too eager to get that meeting to take place any time soon.

That should provide another nail in the coffin in terms of Manziel's future in Cleveland. Speculation has grown that the two biggest suitors for Manziel's services are the Cowboys, owned by Jerry Jones, and Los Angeles Rams and owner Stan Kroenke.

Johnny Manziel May Have Disguised Himself Out Of NFL

It was Jones who unveiled a plan earlier this month to NFL owners suggesting they vote on Kroenke's proposal to build a $1.8 billion stadium in Inglewood, Calif., and move the Rams out of St. Louis, with the Chargers having an option to share the stadium.

The owners sided with Jones, awarding the relocation prize to Kroenke over the Chargers-Raiders plan to relocate to Carson.

Jones has continued to hint of the Cowboys' interest in Manziel, even after news spread of Manziel's jaunt incognito to Las Vegas on the eve of the Browns' season-finale against the Steelers, according to The New York Post.

But it's the Rams who could have the most interest, based upon the opinions of the 32 NFL beat writers for ESPN.com.

"The need is there," ESPN reported. "The Rams like Manziel and they haven't hesitated to take chances on troubled players in the past. The only reason their interest in him isn't a high instead of medium is that it's fair to wonder if the potential headache Manziel brings to a team that's already transitioning to a new city would be too much of a risk."

That puts Jones and Kroenke as potential rivals for Manziel's services, which could make for an interesting chess match but also draw chuckles from the rest of the league for the potential train wreck that could follow the team that "wins" Manziel's services for 2016.
