Ronda Rousey has shown she can dish out physical punishment, but she's sharp with the verbal jabs too.
"Rowdy" has made no secret of the fact that she's an avid WWE fan and wants to return to the company when her schedule clears up. That didn't stop her from having some fun at the wrestling promotion's expense during a promo for her upcoming appearance as the host of "Saturday Night Live."
Ronda Rousey, The Rock Have New WrestleMania 32 Challengers
In a vignette advertising her gig this Saturday, Rousey acted alongside Beck "The Wreck" Bennett in a skit where he played a wrestler trying to challenge her to a fight. The former UFC women's bantamweight champion couldn't resist getting a dig in on Vince McMahon's wrestling promotion while comparing it to the MMA syndicate.
"You know I'm a UFC fighter, not WWE," Rousey says in the ad. "We actually fight and don't wear costumes."
Holly Holm Says 'Whatever' About Ronda Rousey's Thirst For Rematch
While she was clearly joking, the sarcastic dismissal of WWE was interesting given her fandom. Rousey jabbing the fake combat in the WWE and the outfits they wear was layered in sarcasm.
Not only is Rousey a fan, she also became a direct participant in the action at WrestleMania 31 last March.
"Rowdy" paired up with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for an in-ring segment where she got involved in a verbal and physical altercation with Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon. Rousey's big follow-up was rumored for WrestleMania 32 on April 3, but it's unlikely to happen given her busy schedule and commitment to the UFC.
Still, Rousey has shown in the past that she loves the WWE and is hopeful to become a Diva when her days in MMA come to an end.
Despite her wisecrack, Triple H and Stephanie love her, so they'll still likely welcome her back with open arms.
