Odell Beckham Jr.’s constant dancing with his friends has him battling rumors that he’s gay, according to NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin. So why doesn’t Russell Westbrook, star point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, deal with the same problems?

Westbrook loves to dance as much as Beckham does, and he does it in front of thousands of people every time he’s about to play in a game. He arguably dances better than Beckham!

We haven’t seen Westbrook busting moves in clubs, and all his dances in this video are with guys. His most frequent partner is fellow point guard Cameron Payne, but Kevin Durant mixed in as well. And nary a gay rumor.

Why is it that Beckham can’t get the same pass? He’s possibly the most entertaining player in football, and he is doing the same dances as Westbrook, save for a few tweaks.

Beckham is dropping freestyle raps and head-hunting opponents, and Irvin thinks he’s doing it because of the rumors that tail him.

Irvin’s theory? “For some reason, everybody goes after him with gay slurs. He’s a different kind of dude,” He has the hairdo out, he’s not the big muscular kind of dude. The ladies all love him. He’s a star. I wonder why people are going in that direction. It blows my mind. I told him he can’t let stuff that people say get to you.”

That ain’t right. Only Beckham knows what his preferences are, but him dancing doesn’t mean anything beyond he likes to dance, and he’s good at it. Hopefully these rumors don’t discourage either player from entertaining the world.
