With John Cena returning to programming for the WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view Sunday Oct. 27, there have been many rumors of the superstar possibly working a lighter schedule when he returns due to the fact that he's coming back from his injury earlier than expected.

Reports indicate, however, that the WWE is looking for Cena to work both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown shows for the weeks after Hell in a Cell all the way through the Survivor Series pay-per-view Nov. 24.

Cena hasn't appeared in a WWE ring since Aug. 19 on RAW when he announced that his match at SummerSlam the night before for the WWE title against Daniel Bryan was his last for a while as he was undergoing surgery to fix a torn triceps and a distended elbow, and was scheduled to be sidelined four-to-six months to rehab the injury.

Just over two months later, Cena is already gearing up for a return at Hell in a Cell which is over three months earlier than his originally expected return date of January's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Cena has dispelled rumors of his injury return being a hoax, and has said through his Twitter account that he has vowed to return to the squared circle stronger than ever while also saying he is definitely returning and its not a hoax last Sunday night.

The WWE announced earlier this month that his awaited return would take place Oct. 27 against Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship, and now Wrestlingheadlines.com has reported that Cena is 100% healthy and will be on the road for the WWE's two major shows every single week until Survivor Series rolls around. Once the November pay-per-view event is over, Cena will strictly be on episodes of RAW, the website has confirmed.

John Cena's road to recovery has been a lot shorter than most previously thought it would be, but it hasn't been without hard work and vigorous rehab. WWE chronicled Cena's recovery from his original announcement to the surgery and all the way through the rehab process in order to promote Cena's return to the ring at the pay-per-view.

While Cena is arguably the face of the franchise, he remains one of the most controversial figures in the WWE. Many fans hate him, others adore him; either way the WWE will be glad to have one of its most popular athletes back as the RAW ratings have took a bit of a beating in Cena's absence.

Cena, perhaps, is more excited than anyone for his return.

"You heard it from Vickie Guerrero now you'll hear it from me," Cena said in the video. "October 27th, Hell in a Cell vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. The champ returns. See you at Hell in a Cell."
