Men’s No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic wiped out 19-year-old Hyeon Chung in his first matchup of the 2016 Australian Open, but didn’t give himself much credit when it was over. Djokovic instead suggested that fatherhood was fueling his success, and said that increased intimacy would keep the good times rolling.
“Ever since I became a father everything is going uphill on the tennis court. Darling, I guess we gotta make more babies. What can I say?” Djokovic joked.
Djokovic Was Approached By Match Fixers Early In His Career
Did he reveal too much? He seemed to think so pretty quickly after making his joke. “Yeah, I’m going to probably get criticized for what I said now.”
Hiswife Jelena Djokovic probably won’t hold it against him, however, because her man is destroying the competition and bringing home the bacon. Novak won three Grand Slam titles in 2015 – the Aussie Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open – and reached the final of the French Open where he was bested by Stan Wawrinka. He has reached six Grand Slam finals in the past two years, and his success goes beyond the big tournaments.
Federer Needs A Psychologist To Beat Djokovic
Djokovic was utterly dominant in 2015, going 82-6 for the entire year, winning a whopping 11 titles, and taking home $21,592,125 worth of prize money. So yeah, chances are Jelena will let his baby-making joke slide.
