Perhaps there's hope for Brock Lesnar vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin after all.

The "Texas Rattlesnake" recently revealed that if he were to wrestle another match, he'd love to go toe-to-toe with "The Beast." Austin's latest words are sure to drum up some rumors about a potential clash at WrestleMania 32.

"Well, probably Brock right now, just because [of] where Brock's at," Austin told Jim Ross on his 'Ross Report' podcast about who he'd like to face if he had one more match. "He's on [the] top of his game, he's in his prime."

The WWE Hall of Famer originally generated a lot of buzz when he had Lesnar's manager Paul Heyman on his podcast. During the show, the six-time WWE Champion went into promo mode over a potential clash with Lesnar.

After speculation started to grow, Austin put the rumors to rest by saying he wouldn't return to only make a one-match appearance. He also said any reports of a possible return are a "bulls--t" rumor.

Though Austin was speaking hypothetically to Ross, he at least gave an indication that he would love to battle Lesnar. A perfect backdrop for such a clash would be WrestleMania 32, especially since Austin already confirmed he'll be there.

With Austin being a native Texan and the "Show of Shows" emanating from AT&T Stadium, it would make perfect sense for him to return for his first match since 2003.

The WWE needs a marquee match to reach their goal of setting an attendance record and should take Austin's interest and turn it into a tremendous main event.
