The Royal Rumble Match is always one of the most exciting contests of the year, but the WWE doesn't always get it right.

Hilarious Twitter Handle Compares WWE To Subway Restaurant

Many great Superstars have won the 30-man elimination bout over the years, but not all have been deserving. Sometimes, the WWE just doesn't get it right.

Here are the five biggest travesties in Rumble Match history.

2016 Rumble Match Destined For Disaster

2015: Roman Reigns

The Leader of the Roman Empire wasn't ready to be the main event player the WWE wanted him to be last year, but the company opted to thrust him into the spotlight anyway. Daniel Bryan was the clear choice for who should have won, but instead he came out early and was unceremoniously dumped midway through the match.

2012: Sheamus

The WWE once again pushed "The Cetlic Warrior" to the moon, but it was a mistake. Chris Jericho seemed like a solid pick to win it all as notching a victory in the Rumble Match would complete his impressive resume. Instead, the WWE booked Sheamus to stand tall.

1989: Big John Studd

The WWE gave Studd one final send-off, but as soon as Randy Savage and Hogan were eliminated, the fans lost interest in the match. One of the Mega Powers should have won the second ever Rumble Match.

1993: Yokozuna

For whatever reason, the WWE opted to push Yokozuna despite him being unable to move around in the ring. Randy Savage was in the twilight of his WWE career and could have used one final moment to shine. Instead, he was the last one eliminated.

1999: Vince McMahon

The Attitude Era was't always golden, and this is one prime example. The WWE chairman has no business ever winning the Rumble Match, and Austin should have won his second straight Rumble.
