UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm continues to ride high with the perks of her success and that normally includes endorsement deals coming from all directions.

With that in mind, expect some familiar and questionable products coming her way. And on that note, there is actually one already, a supplement maker that sells products which are actually banned from the UFC.

Now if that raises some eyebrows, learning that the supplement is actually deemed illegal by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) somehow makes it all the more controversial.

The content that is drawing a lot of flak is actually DMAA. It is believed to be a stimulant that carries serious health risks and is actually on the list of substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Ronda Rousey Can Now Relax With Pressure Off

It should be made clear though, that while Holm may be endorsing it, it doesn’t follow that she actually consumes or uses it. This has been proven already with Holm being tested several times (seven to be exact) since the anti-doping program had been instilled in the UFC.

On all occasions, Holm always tested negative. The test results can be viewed here.

The UFC is unlikely to be against the contract since fighters are free to accept endorsements and sponsorships from supplement or other companies that don't conflict with their contractual obligations at UFC events per USA Today.

As long as Holm does not use it, the deal is likely to be a non-issue. With anti-doping testing in place, it would be easy to determine if she does use them in the future anyway.

All that aside, Holm is set to return to action this March at UFC 197 when she faces Miesha Tate for her first title defense.

After that, it remains to be seen who would be next with Ronda Rousey still not up to the task to try and even the score against the same opponent who knocked her out in the second round at UFC 193.
