Rudy Gay has proven what he can do on the court, but due to team needs, the Kings seem to be ready to give him up to address the key spots they are missing.

Gay is the latest player on the trade rumor mill, linked to possible deals with teams such as the Pelicans, Bulls and the Clippers. Nothing has developed for now and Gay bares he is not bothered by the trade talks one bit.

“Just another day in the life,” he said via the Sacramento Bee.

Ryan Anderson was widely believed to be the one pegged to trade places with Gay, but the Pelicans have reportedly turned that idea down since they realized they have a good chance of latching a top pick from the 2015 NBA Draft.

And as everyone knows, that pick could be the Canadian hotshot Ben Simmons or maybe even Brandon Ingram, as pointed out by Sheridan Hoops.

Talks involving Gay are likely to die down a bit, but all is definitely not over. The NBA Trade Deadline is still a long way off (Feb. 18), so expect some deals to go down.

Gay is currently on a three-year contract with the Kings worth $40 million so the numbers game will also be a consideration if ever a deal goes down.
