Tonight at 10 p.m. ET from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KO) will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Artur Szpilka (20-1) on Showtime in a bout that can be live streamed online here.

Wilder owns the one belt that does not belong to Tyson Fury, and if he looks impressive once again against Szpilka, he could be in line for major fights against contenders and champions later this year.

"I take pride in what I do and what I have. I'm very honored to have the WBC belt. I even have the belt tattooed on my body. It's not going anywhere. But there are more belts that I want. It's going to be a long journey and a tough path to fulfill. But I'm that man,” Wilder said.

Wilder will be defending his belt for the third time, but neither of his first two defenses did much to boost his stock. Both defenses were against low-level opponents and took place in his home state of Alabama. This bout will be a new territory for Wilder to make a name for himself, against a more rugged challenger in Szpilka.

The two nearly came to blows in a pre-fight photo-op, and Szpilka’s only loss was against contender Bryant Jennings. Szpilka earned 15 of his 20 victories by knockout, and believes an impressive win vaults him directly into the mix at the top of the division.

"I'm not just here to get my paycheck. Everyone who knows me knows I come to fight," Szpilka said. "I don't just want to win. I want to win in spectacular fashion. I will fight hard and after the fight you will hear 'the new heavyweight champion of the world.'"

Prediction: Wilder def. Szpilka by KO Round 5
