The WWE Divas of the future need a little Stratusfaction.

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is living proof that just because a Diva is an absolute bombshell, it doesn't mean they have to coast through the WWE based on looks. The Canadian grappler was originally brought into the WWE in 2000 based on sex appeal and served as a valet in the early going.

When the WWE thrust their popular Diva into the ring to wrestle, it resembled a train wreck. Stratus then honed her craft and became one of the most popular women wrestlers of all-time, and it wasn't only because of her ravishing looks.

The seven-time WWE Women's Champion worked hard and propelled herself into one of the best female wrestlers the company ever saw. Stratus recently talked about the future of women's wrestling and how it is blossoming thanks to NXT.

Paige Playing Coy About Her Engagement

"I think it's amazing. It's about time," Stratus said via JourneyofaFrontman.com. "The girls are ready and the fans are ready. I'm really excited to see what's gonna happen. I think they're doing a fantastic job. I want to see who is going to break out from the girls now since they came in as a cluster. It's an exciting time to see these strong characters, these strong athletes, and to be able to sit back and watch who is going to break out and be that star. They're all stars."

Stratus also said she's "proud" of them and that she hopes they can "step outside of the box" to keep their characters compelling. The WWE has taken huge strides with its Divas thanks to the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley and others, but with Stratus' help, the bar can be set even higher.

There hasn't exactly been a Divas "revolution," but as Stratus and her friend Lita proved over a decade ago, these things come organically and can't be forced. If Stratus gave her input and helped show the ladies how to look beautiful and get it done in the ring, the results could lead to a true innovation for the division.

Stratus may be retired, but she has the ability to change the game ... again.
