Kobe Bryant bid adieu to the Oracle Arena on Thursday, as the Lakers expectedly bowed again to the defending champion Warriors.

Though the outcome was something many had expected, the focus was of course yet again on the retiring Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. But it was his parting message that seemed to be more important for the evening.

After being surrounded by the Warriors’ big three (Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green), it was all about paying respect and sharing light moments for the last time on the hardwood.

Apparently Bryant is aware at what the Warriors have achieved so far this season and are apparently still on course to break some more records. And with that in mind, Bryant was egging them to go for it and “make history”.

"You guys have got to go ahead and make history," Bryant told Curry via ESPN.

Curry answered back by saying, "I got to chase you."

With that said, Kobe just told Curry straight, "Damn right." "Absolutely. Come and get it."

Apparently Kobe seems to be among the ones who believe that the Warriors are on a roll and bound for greater things ahead. Having won five NBA titles on his end, Bryant wants to see how many the Warriors can snag on their end.

“I had my run. Now it's important for them to carry it forward," says Bryant.

Curry, Thompson and Green are expected to be pumped up to do even more with Kobe’s advice, which could mean harder days ahead for all the other Western Conference teams hoping to dethrone the Warriors.

"He told us to chase history, so we're going to try to chase it now like he did in his career," says Curry. "He paved the way."
